    I'm Back

Not new  Far&ING old actually. I noticed a post today on Facebook Page "Have s stout and shout it out" It was from a member from Dunfermline and I immediately thought of THBF member Dunfie. That is when I thought about how long it was since I had caught up with this forum...

    Safale US-05 yeast

This yeast changed around 2007/2008 and now holds krausen past fermentation. I drop temp to 2 - 3 degrees after 10 days. After three days the slimy krausen is still present, suspended yeast seems to drop ok but the krausen persists. No probs just the nature of the beast. Cheers, Screwy

    Bundaberg

Don't visit Bundy (couple of hours North of here) all that often since my old mum died, but drive up now and again to visit family. My uncle worked at the factory where the brewed soft drinks are made, the old Electra Company in Bundaberg. Have a few old recipes (shhhh) but not for the Ginger...

    AG brews and secondary fermentation

Gave away secondary vessel fermentation years ago for the same reason as previous posts. Reduces risk of infection etc. Do a forced ferment ahead of time to find your TG. Take a small amount of wort about day three and place it somewhere warm (upper 20's) and it will ferment out quickly, after...
