I'm just about to bottle a Brewers Spring Pilsner.
I followed the instructions to the letter. Added the bentonite (something new for me) and the dry hops. After 7 days transferred to a pressure barrel whilst filtering out the dry hops as a few smaller bits had been in suspension rather than sinking to the bottom. I did ask for advice on the forum about filtering as I thought I'd cocked it up. Thankfully no indication of oxidisation.
The instructions suggest transferring to a carboys but I don't have one so a pressure barrel had to suffice. As far as I understand, this transfer is to extend primary fermentation albeit at a reduced level for 2+ weeks but by removing the brew from the trub so as not to include any 'off flavours'.
Tested the final gravity yesterday which came out at 1.010 which is within the recommended range and the predicted ABV is around 6%. A initial taste test was quite promising with a some hoppiness but a surprisingly dry finish. I'm interested to see how the final conditioned beer turns out around Christmas time.
