Was bottling last night whilst having a couple of beers and thought about a round the world brew. Basically adding in a hop every 10 minutes for an 80 minute boil but in an order round the world...
Why? I have no idea but seemed like it might make for some interesting flavours.
Basically 8 different hops which I will probably also incorporate into other brews over the coming months.
SO far I have
80 minutes- British- East Kent Goldings
70 minutes- German- Hallertauer
60 minutes- Czech- Saaz
50 minutes- Slovenian- Styrian Golding
40 minutes- Japanese- Sorachi Ace
30 minutes-Australian- Vic Secret
20 minutes-New Zealand- Pacific Gem
10 minutes- American (West Coast)-
0 minutes- AMerican (East Coast)-
Any ideas on what East and West Coast hops would be?
Basically I have tried to incorporate bittering hops early and then moved to other hops later in the boil. Need to work out the amounts of hops but will work this out once I have a set batch of hops to work from.
Assuming an American IPA would work best for this?
Terrible Idea or worth more thought?
