I can vouch for the need to read the instructions.
Couple of weeks ago i got some meds from the doctor for a diabetes related skin condition, Was unable to read the smallprint properly due to failing eyesight thesedays. and failed to wash it off. I gave myself very painfull skinburns worse still the said burns were in a gentlemans sensitive area.
From now on i will be paying attention to instructions.

Btw i have started to collect beer bottles with a veiw to try my hand at beers.Question is would i be better off buying plastic beer bottles from my local homebrew shop ( bit pricy ) as i am a bit nervy about filling my home with ticking time bombs.

Lol I think if it ferments out properly before you try to bottle the beer then it shouldn't really be a time bomb.

I only had that happen once with some nettle beer I bottled early, it exploded in a friends sink overnight.

Never bottle before fermentation is complete.

Reusing glass bottles is fine and they're better than plastic for keeping beer in good condition over time. Some bottles such as Budweiser have a reputation for being thinner glass and risk of breaking, but I've never had a problem with 500ml brown bottles of most brands.

Just make sure you measure priming sugar correctly. There are plenty calculators on line to help you work it out, or you could go for the traditional 1/2 level teaspoon per 500ml bottle.

It also depends on your primary fermentation being properly finished. Patience is key.

Thanks for your replies guys.
I once did long time ago make sparkling wine but using proper champagne bottles and sparkletop caps with built in safety valve.
I was just worried about bog standard beer bottles with crown caps.
