I like dark beers Porter, stout, that sort of thing. And I like them strong too...

You've come to the right place then. What are you thinking of starting with? Are you going for kits, extract, or full mash?
Welcome, there is a homebrew group in MK, meetings are arranged on Facebook. Good opportunity to try a few beers and there are usually some strong ones judging by the meetings I've been too. (Kind of like an endurance drinking session )
I’ve started with a Festival Suffolk Strong Ale kit but I replaced the dextrose with dark DME. Got the kit and equipment for Christmas
I would like to progress to full mash though but I’ll try a few kits first I think.Unfortunately I don’t do the Facebook thing but it does sound good.
