NEIPA revelation

I finally ound some bottled NEIPA in a local Tesco. I've seen pics of this hazy, almost orange juice-looking concoction but not had a chance to taste one. Well, what can I say. I was blown away by the massive fragrant hit of hops but subtle bitterness. Needless to say, once I get back up to speed with AG I will be attempting a NEIPA. The AG kits are "reassuringly expensive" so will do my research before splurging my cash :)

Next time you are in tesco see if there is any brew dog O-G hazy, normally in large cans about £3 each.Cracking neipa 7.2% and very easy drinking.

My goal is to brew a decent neipa, still a way off yet though got some corny kegs coming to convert my chest freezer.Next step will be a snub nose fermenter for closed transfer to kegs.

From all the info i have read so far the biggest enemy for a neipa is oxygen.It certainly is a cracking summer time drink!!

Yes, they had the big cans of Hazy, but a 7.2% on a "school night" isn't a great idea asad.

NEIPA is monumentally hard to do well at homebrew level unfortunately, make sure you research low oxygen brewing to do so otherwise you will be pissing away time and money.

It is quite dangerous, the trouble is you can hardly taste any alcohol in it.Agree never good on a school night lol.

Big part of NEIPA is avoiding any oxidation because you'll be using 300-500g of hops per 20 litres.

Excluding oxygen is also hard to do without using kegs, it's a really tough style without some experience and good equipment.

I'm brewing one this weekend. 100g each of Citra, Sabro and Azacca.

Best of luck, i cant wait untill i have the required equipment to at least have a try at making a decent neipa.I absolutley love the stuff i but i know its no easy feat to make it.
An expensive learning curve when it goes wrong thats for sure

Brewdog Hazy Jane is a nice introduction to the style and should be quite easy to find.

Tesco, £1.80 per 330ml bottle or 4 for £6. Well worth it for the hop hit in my opinion.

Getrbrewd do a decent kit neipa
carbs in one week
but loses flavour after 2 weeks in bottle

Most of our local tesco seem to always have some sort of deal on brewdog beer, normally 2 boxes (8 cans) for £9. Punk, hazy jane, elvis juice.
Also a "fridge pack" of punk 12 cans for either £12 or £13.
They also have the o-g hazy and cloud water vs brewdog cans @ £3 a go.

All the neipa in Tesco are oxidised so if you like them then a homebrew version will be a success

i am far from an expert on neipa even though i have been drinking them from the local brewery and brewdog for a few years.
I am not so sure i would call this one oxidised, from tesco!!

They are cheap and cheerful beers from brewdog, far from top quality but they are ok for the price.

I got 3 beers one low price two high priced and they just didn't hit the spot for me last one I tried was elvis juice too much juice crossed the line of beer if u ask me
But I like a sharp bitter IPA

Nothing better than a huge hop hit with a bitter after taste.Do love a nice juicy hazy ale in the summer though.Thankfully one of our local brewery's like experimenting with some of the hazy ipa's which is always fun in the summer.

Ive been trying any examples of the style I can find. Yet to find one I’ve wanted a second pint of. There’s something about it that I just don’t find as satisfying as a “normal” beer
