    Can i supplement a Kit with extras?

    Just picked up a youngs merlot 5 gallon kit for £12 in the sale at wilkos. Do you think it would be OK to make it with additional fruit (ie. Elderberries) to make a fuller bodied/slightly stronger wine? I dont really want to waste the kit or the elderberries. cheers.

    Hi, I am currently brewing a Barley Wine and a Brewferm Triple. Instead of sugar, i used some malt extract and brewing sugar. Is malt extract as fermentable as sugar? i.e. if i substitute 1kg suagr for 1kg malt extract (dried) will i get teh same abv? Im a bit worried that my "stronger"...
