I'm trying to condition my beers in a 10l plastic water carrier. On my first attempt i didn't manage to get any carbonation, my second try was more successful and the beer stayed in nice condition. brewers choice x special bitter tastes like leffe

Not sure then really. In what way does it taste like leffe? Is it just that it isn't very hoppy and has a sweet malty taste or does it have a belgian kind of taste?

    Anybody used copperkettle shop?

Just been looking around for the a cheap online supplier. Malt Miller is good for specialty stuff and I've used it in the past but i've found hops for under 2 quid on the copper kettle. Has anybody had hops from here? Are they good quality? And how come they are so cheap?

can you get american malts in the UK?

Probably not. But it does seem to have some benefits like high enzyme properties. Also as i said i saw some recipes on barcley perkins blog where recipes from the 1920s calls for 6 - row. Just curious really.
