I've just posted asking about invert sugar inspired by the "shut up about barcley perkins" blog. Next tricky ingredient i need to source is american 6-row. I've not seen it on malt miller or hop and grape.

Anybody found this stuff?

Thats a big Fat No! I did lot's of research on this. The closest I got was offered some space in a container. but That was more hassle than it was worth to get it over cheap.

is it really needed ? .. if u search the net it says that 2-row yields more than 6-row anyway and that 6-row is a cheaper (US)alternative .. throughout europe 6-row barley is used for animal feed

Probably not. But it does seem to have some benefits like high enzyme properties. Also as i said i saw some recipes on barcley perkins blog where recipes from the 1920s calls for 6 - row. Just curious really.
