Should you have a best before date on your beer

Should you have a best before date on your beer

Hello Had a few Stouts that i have had for about 8 months made from a kit. I had one yesterday and got gut rot soon after, followed by a few visits to the loo. I wondered if it could be the length of time it was in the bottle, hopefully it was just a coincidence Anyway, do you guys make...

    Sanitiser help

I now use Milton Sterilising Fluid. Leave it for 15 mins then rinse. Cost around £2.50 a litre. Only a cap full required for 5 litres, a little less hassle than mucking about with granules.

How good is a Woodforde Wherry?

Hi I've been brewing kits now for a couple of years. I finally got around to brewing the Woodforde Wherry after reading lots of positive reviews. Anyhoo, after only 1week of letting the bottles carbonate i gave a bottle a try. I have to say after 1 week it tasted really promising. Of all...

    Winter warm kits

Have gone for Beerworks Russian Imperial Stout for Xmas. Fermented like a rocket launcher and finished at 8.5%. Been in the bottle for nearly a week. A pricey kit at £38 but worth it I hope.

Beaverdale PG 23l - Best Price?

Really' that's expensive. Mine turned out fine. I usually do a Solomon Grundy. Around 33 quid
  17. stephen1546

    Which Kit to Choose?

I use Solomon Grundy platinum, these are better imo that Cellar 7 but no as good as Beaverdale

    Which Kit to Choose?

The Beaverdale Merlot is good, improves with age. I started of with Cellar 7 making whites, changed to Solomon Grundy and i find these much better, the roughly cost the same, around £32.
