In the long run I would say pubs are dead for now the only issue I can see with hb is it’s a insular participation sport which may impact negatively on social norms in the long game... but who cares 😂🍺

I’ve been away from hb for a while but now I’m back with no distractions off loaded the wife and kids to concentrate full time on the best thing ever to exist. I doubt it will ever justify it but that’s not the point..right? Hard core home brew for ever

Lesson learnt tbh my local was showing as closed with no stock turns out they open with plenty so I’m sorted now £100 later😂

hi ive just got a 2nd hand pressure barrel of ebay however its got pink staining inside at the bottom,ive not come acrosss this before ive steralised it etc bicarb of soda/ white vinegar but the stains not lifting my question is will it still be ok to use or what will move it cheers🍺

Yeah my friend emailed me last night told me the screw on cap might have hair line crack from over tightening .i do (did) really used to screw them down..maybe that is the problem any hoo.tested my old cap and hey presto....air leak...so now got a new one that should sort it.... Lost a full...

I've done the Vaseline and I've gassed it up empty(not tried water) my plastic keg and tap ect is about 3yrs old and had roughly 15 brews through...have it got a working life time span ?and if so what is that ? :cheers:

Cool I might give that a try.i realise how little I know about home brewing.maybe it's just lazy buying the kits?its really a full time job..and oh I meant my wife loves it less than me :drunk:
