    Festive stout aka brew 2

Started my second brew tonight. A wilkos velvet stout kit which I’m hoping to have ready for Christmas. Sanitised everything and decided to try bottled water this time. Pitched a little hotter than I’d like but took more care than the instructions suggested. 1 tin Wilkos velvet stout 1kg...

    Wilko IPA advice.

I'm going to be making my second brew, and I'm using LME kits to start out and experiment with what facilities I have at home. I want to know if my plan is sound or not, I'm still pretty clueless at what I'm doing. I grabbed a £12 IPA kit from my local Wilko when I went out to get a hydrometer...

Do I need to bottle Wilko Cerveza now or can it wait a few days?

Hi all, just a quick question about my kit I am brewing. My Wilko Cerveza kit is now at a constant 1.005, is it best to bottle it ASAP or will it be ok to sit around in the beer fridge for a few days at 1.005? Just asking as I will struggle to find time until the weekend, but also it’s good...

    Wilko Wild Pickings Cider

Has anyone tried this? Ive just finished my Lager kit (youngs harvest Lager) and whilst that is settling in the bottle, I was to crack straight on. I fancy doing a fruity cider so I was just wondering what this is like?

Pimping up Wlko kits advice please

So, inspired by @BeerCat thread of wheat beer in a week, and the impending 40th BBQ bash I'm having in 3 weeks, I thought I'd give a quick fermentation brew or 2 a go. I have Voss yeast and temp control so this should assist. However, called the local HBS to order some grain to pick up on way...

    Kit Splitting?

Good Evening all, with regards to splitting one can kits... would it be possible to warm 4 litres of water (to 'dissolve' the kit) and then split the 4 litres between two fermenters? I've just bought Chocmeister from wilkos new range and want to brew two lots of 9L it's supposed to be a 22L kit...
