Hi all,

I'm going to do my 1st biab can someone give me a recipe please.

I'm going to leave to cool overnight before I add the yeast.

My equipment I have is.

1 X peco boiler
Stirrer.
Bag.
False bottom.

So I need grains hops etc.
I am after a not very hoppy old English style beer.

In the recipe could you please put total amount of ingredients I need.

My beers are normally around 5% .

Cheers in advance.

Dave

For a first try, with 100g English Goldings, Fuggles or anything else, really:

5kg Pale Ale malt
0.25kg Crystal malt

50g of hops boiled for 60mins
25g of hops boiled for 15mins
25g hops added at the end of the boiling.

1x sachet of dry yeast ~ 11g

Or get one of these:

I like that..nice and easy and you will be able to taste the ingredients. As for letting it cool if take it you have a no chill cube or similar to keep the wort safe while it chills??

Hi Clint,

No I haven't got any chill device, but I believe it can be done overnight safely.

What are the dangers if any.

Please can you advise.

Cheers

Dave
