But I'll certainly be telling the scafolders to be careful.
If they're wine grapes (which I have a very very strong suspicion they might be judging by the amount of wine making equipment in the house) then I have been promised some. :party:

Excellent! While the scaffolding is up, a few masonry nails in strategic places might be useful!

Meanwhile, back at the vineyard, attempts to control rampant growth by tying to the wires has proved ineffective, so I am now intsalling parallel wires at 4 and 5 feet intervals, so that new growth can be guided between the two.
I have also started to replace the blach plastic weed cotrol with weed control fabric, so that moisture can be absorbed, as well as liquid fertilser. It is hard work, because I am also removing weeds and debris which could be harbouring fungal spores.
