Last time I was AG brewing I would throw all my salts into my HLT and brew.

However this time I have cottoned onto Murphy and sons saying that Acids (Lactic and AMS) shoudl be added to theLiquor and all other salts shoudl be added to the Grist before mashing in.

Is this how it should be done?

Ta.

I suppose any salt addition for Sparging will need to go in the sparge liquor. as Brewfather shows different addition quantities for sparge and mash
You can turn off the sparge additions which is what I do. I only acidify the sparge with phosphoric. For pale beers I normally have about 50% dilution with RO water which is done first before drawing off the sparge water to a separate kettle.
