Just made a new hop strainer: 22mm copper pipe with a million 3mm holes drilled in it.

My question is:

Where i have drilled through the pipe on the inside it has left spikey bits of copper sticking out, do i need to worry about these? I worry they will snare bits of hops etc, therefore making it a pain to clean, or fall off and get in the brew..

Anyone else made one and come up with a solution, or should i just ignore them?

If they're on the inside then they shouldn't really be snaring anything. If you're concerned, you could use try stiff rod with some wire wool to clean the inside, almost like a cleaning rod on a gun.
