am about to bottle up my pear wine , ive tasted it, tastes lovely but a little too sharpe for me, how do i back sweeten with sugar.. i only want to sweeten it a tad as i like my wines dry or dry-med... would it be better a sugar syrup and how much sugar and water do i need?? Thanks

put in some unfermentable sugars... e.g. artifical sweetener, splenda (if you want your wine to be fizzy) if you dont mind it being flat then add winestabilizer and a campden tablet. wait a few days (whilst mixing it up) and then just add a bit of sugar and keep mixing it.

You could maybe try a little pear juice once you have used stabiliser and campden tablets to sweeten it up.

With my Ribena wines I usually back sweeten with Ribena Cordial.

Cheers

Marrsy
