Barnsley Brewers Brewing at a Micro...

A beer I entered into a local competition that came second has been invited to be brewed at a local Micro in Sheffield tomorrow, the brewers just e.mailed me to say it's on for tomorrow... :party:

The story behind the brews a bit like Wez's "Big Kenny", brewed to commemorate a loved person that's passed away.

The person behind mine was an old bloke on the street who was like a Granddad and made us all feel welcome when we joined the street in 1991, you know, the type that'll lend you any tools and do anything for you with nothing in return..... Anyway he suddenly died last year and the day after I was planning to brew anyway so I named it after him and gave all his close family a bottle to drink, they all drank the beer and said it was great, they also saved the bottle with the label on it as a keepsake....

One thing I did notice, is they have the strainer on the outlet of the pump installed incorrectly it should have the liquid going in where they have it coming out.

Are you getting a few bottles of it as a memento.
