Hi

I batch primed my brew yesterday into a bottling bucket, and planned to bottle yesterday evening. However something came up and I won't be able to bottle until tomorrow (+/- 48hrs after batch priming.)

How long is it OK to leave the primed beer in the (sealed) bucket before bottling?

Is this a problem, will the beer already start to "carbonate" in the bottling bucket and therefore will I lose some carbonation in the bottle?

thanks for any guidance

Richie

If it's anywhere close to room temp it'll snaffle that sugar big time. My wheat beers I carb to 3.3 volumes are pretty much there in 3 days. Hmmm - you could leave it a few more days to make sure it's all fermented and start from scratch or wing it and put in say a half dose.
