Hi Everyone,
got home this evening from work and the wife had picked up a bottle of bath ales gem at the supermarket as she didn't think i'd tried this beer before. I was very impressed with the ale and wondered whether anyone had come up with a clone of this brew, as I'd really like to try to brew something the same or similiar

I played about with this one three or four times now. First time i went for

90% pale
7%crystal
2% dark crystal
1% wheat
30ibu challenger start of boil
Then two additons of ekg 10mins and flame out (gram per litre)

Was fairly close

Now i brew

94% pale
5% crystal
1% wheat

And a pinch of choc (edit rechecked me notes)

Stepped mash

50c for 30mins
Then 60mins @ 67c

Its seems bang on now! hops as above plus i dry hop the **** out of it with goldings!

As for yeast i have always used theirs ;)

this has just popped up on JBK

91% pale
4% wheat
4% crystal
1% choc
