For anyone living in or around N.E.Essex, the Harwich Town Brewery is running a beer festival at The Redoubt (less than 5 minutes walk from Harwich Town railway station). There are 30 or so real ales, 5 ciders, and both bottled and draught US beers. It is open from 11 to 11 today and tomorrow and is also open on Sunday (not sure of the times).
