Mash water is cooling, pics to follow. Pretty standard Big Kenny as per the forum brew.

23l

4.5kg MO
200g Torr. Wheat
76g crystal
58g roasted barley
26g chocolate malt

56.00 g Kent Golding (4.2) 90 minutes
20.00 g Fuggles (4.0) 90 minutes
25.00 g Fuggles (4.0) 15 minutes
28.00 g Styrian Golding (3.5) 0 minutes (steep 15 mins at 80)

Target OG 1.050
Target IBU 38
Mash 90 mins 68c (30 mins at 65, 60 at 68)
Boil 90 mins

yeast Saf04

Hops chosen to use up the 28g of styrians and 50g of Goldings I had left over.

Already made a mistake, checking the recipe I should have been mashing at 68 but mine is going at 65. So I'm off to add some hot water to raise it up a bit. So 5l added to make it up to 68 after 30 mins at 65giving me a rather thin mash with 17l (a bit shy of 3.5:1) my first stepped mash ;)

Hope it all went well - kenny is on my rather long future brew list :thumb:

I'd recommend it :thumb: . The brew turned out nicely and I may well brew another batch at some point.
