Joking aside i remember back in the day Boddingtons was very popular round here.

I seem to remember @Clint always jokes about it so maybe it wasn't actually that good a bit like us in our youth downing several pints of **** lager every weekend night out thinking it was great beer.

It was so good, that they wrote songs about it in these parts.

Phil 'Fast Fret' McCavity, he taught me all I know about playing the guitar.

Yep remember it well. Drank that alot when a youth and remembered it being a good drop but believe it's not the same now, if still around...not seen it for 20 years or so. Same with Newcastle Brown Ale...that was my staple in the students union bar, but also believe that is not what is used to be.

But unfortunately beer is a marketing business and the production of the actual product is an inconvenience and something they need to minimise and streamline which unfortunately means compromising on the recipes and reducing variables.
