Hi, my tap water supply has an alkalinity of 170mg/l, so I us AMS to reduce to an acceptable level. I use hot water from a direct water supply so I assume the alkalinity would be reduced, judging by the amount of scale in my old tank, does anybody have any idea by how much?

All water is different and changing.

Test and treat is the only way.

But as a side note I do think AMS & DWB is the easiest way to conquer water treatment.
