I've finally got my fermentation fridge up and running via an stc1000 and tube heater.
It seems a bit rediculous to have gone to all this trouble to get a stable fermentation temperature and to trust the stc1000 for accuracy without calibration.

Can someone recommend the best way to calibrate my stc1000 so I know the temp is accurate.
I've just bought a calibrated thermo pen thermometer so was going to use this but don't know the best way to calibrate the two together in the fridge

Stick them both in the same glass of water and see the difference?

If you use a glass of water with a handful of crushed ice they should both read 0°c. You can adjust the STC to compensate, I think it may be F4, but check your manual. :thumb:

put the probe from both into some water and see if they read the same temp ?

Don't see a reason to calibrate in the fridge, they will either be the same or not no matter where they are :wha:

EDIT - beaten to it by Joe
