Hey all,
Been a long while since I've logged in, and as long since I've brewed
Hope everyone is good, and your whistles well wetted!
Now, I haven't brewed for a while because the results I was getting from kits wasn't to my taste. The quality of the beer was fine, well bodied and balanced, but at the end of the day it's just flavourless English ale! I'm much more into the so called 'craft' beer scene like the punchy IPAs from California.
As my time for home brewing is limited, I tried using an IPA kit (st peters), using a lager yeast, and then dry hopping the hell out of it with Galaxy hops from eBay. Wasn't bad, but still lacked the crispness of a craft IPA.
So, my question to anyone interested, is: can I achieve my desired brew without investment of time and money into grain brewing?
Thanks in advance
Tom
