I've seen people mention campden tablets to remove chlorine from tap water. Is this something that I should be doing or is it 'optional', or just down to personal taste?

I'm quite lucky that my water is really soft so I get zero limescale and it tastes....very watery(!) in a good way, not like the **** that comes out of the tap at work in London.

Chlorine and Chloramines in the water react with hop compounds to form TCP and your beer will taste just like it, if your water has C&C. I'm pretty certain your water will have one or the other, check with your local water authority to make sure :thumb:
