Having had loads of help here it would be nice to give a little something back.

If you have ever had Salt and Pepper chicken from the chinese and love it, I have found a fantastic recipe that re-creates it and in all honesty is probably even better. Takes 10 minutes from start to finish.

Ingredients.

¼ Cup of plain flour
¾ tsp of Chinese 5 spices
1 ¼ tsp salt
1 tsp ground white pepper
½ tsp Ground Ginger

Asda breaded chicken bites

Oil

2/3 Garlic cloves crushed
2 spring onions sliced
1 red and 1 green Chilli sliced and chopped small

Put chicken bites in the oven for 10 minutes. Whilst this is cooking, combine flour and spices in a bowl. In a separate bowl combine the finely chopped spring onion, crushed garlic and chillis (including seeds)

When the chicken bites are ready add to the spice bowl and stir around until they are fully covered with spices then remove chicken with a slotted spoon and put in the frying pan for two minutes to crisp up. After the two minutes, add the other bowl of spring onions, chillis and garlic and cook for a further minute.

Thats it and its delicious.

I usually the chuck mine in a bowl that contains microwaved basmati rice and two broken up fried eggs. Mix it all up and serve on a plate.
