Hi
I'm a newbie to this site but I've been brewing on and off for a few year now.
Well my question is this last december I noticed a Honeysuckle plant in my garden, is there any way to use this in wine?

I've heard you can use the flowers but not sure about the berries and if you can anyone got any recipes?

currently drinking:cheap bitter
brewing: cabernet sauvignon (young's definitive)
worzels: orange wine

CJJ Berry says: “Honeysuckle berries and foliage are poisonous: the flowers are not”.

If you don't have a copy of “First Steps”, get one, or if you google it you can probably find a downloadable pdf. I'm not going to find you a link because that's breach of copyright, but it is out there.

You need rather a lot of flowers though, 2 pints to the gallon.
