Empty airlock...

So I've gotten alot better with not checking my beer hourly! 😂

Tucked it away weds and haven't looked since. Go me!

However upon checking this.korming all the sanitiser that was in the airlock is practically gone with just a little left. I'm guessing it's bubbled out (it did this in my Rye IPA).

Is this OK? Or should I take it out and refill it?

Refill it, it's also a barrier for gnats.

I have also had this problem so no longer use an airlock on my FV i use a blow off tube instead - http://www.thehomebrewforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=66900

Airlocks seem easy but blow off tubes add a kind of security.

Install a blow off tube to a whoopee cushion, that could be fun...:lol:

I fill with water tho - don't much fancy drinking the sanitizer.
