Father in laws brew

Hi all,

I bought my father in law a mangrove Jack's American IPA kit to brew, with brew enhancer. Just tried the beer, it tastes a bit medicinal to me, and. Not the best. I brewed a MJ Australian PA and it was great. Any idea why his tastes different? I'm thinking temperature control as I used a water bath and he used a brew belt.

Any other thoughts?

How old is it? Needs a few weeks time to condition.

At least a month
