Hi everybody

I know I am being very blonde here but I am making cider, it has been fermenting in the tub for 6 days now and is still bubbling, I have taken readings from the hydrometre over the last 3 days and have got 1040 then 1036 then 1030, but it says I am not allowed to bottle it until it reads between 1000-1006 - it has to be this reading consistently for 3 days?

Might just be a bit slow due to cold weather/fluctuating temperatures  might be worth moving it somewhere slightly warmer :?: what temperature are you at :?:

I dont have a thermometre so dont know the exact temp we have been keeping the heating on as much as poss though

Take your time, I normally let my brews go 7-10 days, sometimes longer and up to 3 weeks if it's colder - and I've not lost one yet. You may never achieve the exact range that the guide says, but consistency over 2 or 3 days should tell you all that you need. :thumb:

Good luck!
