Newbie brewer here...

Found these hops had grown into our greenhouse from a plant outside.

Can they be used for anything?

TIA

they look past their best

you might save some but most are dead by the pic

why dont you wet hop a beer with the good ones? chuck a load in between 0 and 20 minutes, with just a simple bittering addition at 60 mins. you'll be able to taste them for next year then! :thumb:

I'm just starting out on the brewing with a Wherry Microbrewery kit. I think using hops is probably beyond me and I may well screw up my first brew.

It'd be nice to use em though...

I would keep it simple for the first couple of brews but you could dry your hops and store. Then, later, maybe next year, add your hops dry in a bag to the kit. 'Dry Hoping' :D

you could potentially just boil 'em up in 5 litres of water or so for 10 minutes.

How many grams of hops would you use Rob?
