Your thoughts gentlemen and ladies on the perfect fry up

Mine would have to include the following

Smoked dry cured bacon
Proper lincolnshire sausages
Fried eggs
black pudding (not stornaway proper chunky black pudding)
hash browns
mushrooms
baked beans
fried bread (with the eggs on top)
toast
And maybe a bit of haggis

As above, but with Tomato for me rather than baked beans :D

Fried bread a must, not bothered about hash browns and toast, either or will do :thumb:

...... but there has to be a big mug of tea on the side

got to include brown sauce for me

eggs
bacon smoked dry cured
sausage (at least 80% pork or above any kind )
beans
black pudding
toast (crispy)
no mushroom
no hash browns
maybe toms but not bothered
just lots of the above and plenty of tea

Can't beat a greasy spoon. Breakfast is far from a connisseurs game imo - its rated more on your ability to shovel it down.

That said, garlic mushrooms are a staple on my plate!

And some smoked haddock, an Arbroath Smokey and a couple of slices of white pudding (or is that what you've called fruit pud?)

Casualty here they all come !!!!!!!!
:D

A few years ago there was a documentary on TV following a couple of heart surgeons, they were a pair of real characters :thumb:

they were due to carry out a complex heart operation together which involved them being in the operating theatre for 8 - 10 hours :?

the amusing part of this was before they started the operation they went for breakfast, they needed to have plenty of fuel onboard 'cos of the length of time before they would be operating and the amount of concentration involved .......

so there they were, 2 heart surgeons tucking into a huge fry up for breakfast, laughing and joking saying they really shouldn't film this, their wives would go ballistic

You've made me so hungry!

If you take away the blood and replace with a good old burger and add a tin of tomatoes we have a winner.

I can give you a candidate for the best cooked brekky( with a twist ) ive ever tasted....... Burger van on Corporation Road in Newport. Meanest breakfast roll you ever tasted. Seconded to one of my own of course.

Not very traditional but I'd encourge everyone to try a bit of fried ripe plantain in there at least once!

Bacon
Sausages
Fried eggs
Hash browns
Beans
Fried bread
Toast and large coffee on the side :thumb:
