heater problem

made me brew yesterday and put me heater in as its very cold where i ferment, woke up this morning and went to check all is ok and the fv was very warm the heater had gone pete tong i guess and the temp of the beer has shot up to 48 :cry: i presume the yeast wil be dead now but if i cool it back down and put some more yeast in will i be able to save it.

maybe all you can do is try if the dead yeast is at the bottom of the fv then syphon the beer into something else cool it and add more yeast

cheers guys, just put into clean fv and left to cool down before i pitch some more yeast, i might be lucky as it was only on over night.
