dose anyone know if you can get champagne corks in with a hand corker or dose it have to be a floor corker or some sort of tool :wha:

Champagne plastic stoppers, or actual corks?

Stoppers can be driven with a rubber mallet (using your fist hurts after the first few), I have no idea about actual cork corks.

Or you can use 29mm crown caps if you've got a bench capper.

this is what i was thinking
Why?

They should drive in by hand, but six quid for six corks and cages

Shop around and you can get 25 plastic stoppers and wire cages for a fiver.

And if you've got a bench capper, then Malt Miller does 100 x 29mm caps for £4.

From the other thread I think they're for serving at a wedding so they need to look nice, malt miller does 30 corks and cages for about £7, I'm looking at using some in old leffe bottles for bottling a brew.

ok thanks guys i dont use them very much so yer think i will look about a bit more, and yes there for my wedding so i can just add it to the stupid cost of a wedding  thanks for the help much appreciated :thumb:

Nugget, how did you get on with this please?
Also what sort of corker did you need?
Cheers.
