just been looking at the bottles mounting up and the fact i got more due

has anyone built a basic wine rack or storage unit to hold it all

was thinking of diagonal wood making squares and pile them up on each other if you see what i mean

Moley made a wine rack and posted about it I will take a look see if I can find it for you.
here you go >click<

nice thanks

next question is

would the loft temp fluctuate too much?
was thinking of maybe putting it between the rafters or on the joining wall to the neighbours, saving the outside wall as it would get hot in the summer

Can't really answer that but I know my attic is very warm so possibly the temp will be too high.

Attics and lofts tend to get to warm. Garages are better especially if you are storing the wine near a wall or concrete floor. A celler is best as the temp doesn't fluctuate to much.

garage full of bikes garden stuff beer stuff etc

some in there just now but its getting full

in sunny Manchester it is hard to know where we go next with temps

Tell me about it, spent all day dodging showers when minute its warm next cold. I am lucky I store and brew my beer at work in a large industrial unit which is cool in summer rarely above wc c but absolutely freezing.
