ok i like a nice IPA or just a good pale

for the grain i am going for
4.5kg MO
.2 crystal
.2 Torrified wheat
maybe .2 flaked barley

the hops i am trying to use up some left overs so suggestions please. i like a good hoppy ipa

i have 130g northdown never used
40g fuggles
113g northern
loads of EKG
23g Magnum

Magnum will give you a really nice mellow bitterness so I would bitter with those. 10-15G should do it

I would add all your fuggles at 15mins

20-30G of the EKG at 10mins

and 25G of EKG in the fermenter.

don't bother with the barley.

a good trick is take 500ml of first runnings and boil down to 150-180ml in a seperate pan on the hob, then add this to the boil, It will give your beer a new dimension.

It gives a bit of colour, some extra body and a hint of sweetness you wouldn't get without doing it, It can really make a beer imho.
