What a lot don’t realise is there were 3 sets of “terrorist” in Northern Ireland. Republican loyalist and British.
What a lot don't realise is the extent of the ongoing campaign to rewrite history.

Have you any specific events that you are referring to. Bloody Sunday might be one, Widgery report was found to be a whitewash. Later the Saville inquiry lay bare the facts. Is that what you refer to as rewriting history. Seeking truth and justice should be open all victim's of the troubles

Did you watch the documentary recently where Jackson laughed about abduction and torture of innocent men ?
History can be rewritten in the minds of some but not in the hearts of many.
On ALL sides

We have discussed the report and have decided as no rules were broken we should open the thread again.

This is an emotive subject so could we ask members to post in a civil manner you may totally disagree with what other members post but they have the right to post it as long as it doesn't break any rules, we have also decided due to it being an emotive topic that the thread will be locked at 9 pm(ish) and opened again in the morning with luck this will stop a few downed home brews having a negative effect on the manner of posting here.

What was the nature of the compliant. Anything posted is factual information, the thread was started to highlight the case of Aidan McAnespie. One of many murdered in Ireland and covered up.

If you're going to have a statute of limitations than justice has to be done a lot more swiftly than this. Frankly, I'm in favour of both.

So just to be clear. Every thread that you receive a complaint on is shut down immediately until all the mods discuss it ?

Generally speaking yes the exception being if the post reported breaks forum rules it will be removed immediately by the firs mod to read the report in the mods area.

The problem with not locking the thread when a post is reported is if everyone piles in on it with several quotes etc it makes moderating the thread a nightmare hours later when we have had chance to discuss it, bear in mind we are not here every hour of the day so its sometimes difficult to get a quick decision.

Edit to add -
I have explained how we moderate reports and have now removed several negative posts about the person who reported and why they did it, you have your thread back lets just call it water under the bridge for the good of the thread.

Shame this thread was allowed to continue but hey ho free speech and all that, even if there is/has been hate speech in this thread that really should not be allowed to go on. So, to balance things a little, here is a reminder for anyone interested/has short term memory loss/misguided conspiracy theories or complete denial of the disgusting atrocities carried out on the mainland.

Let’s also not forget the cowardly actions abroad and in the province.

And yes, I am sure there was provocation on both sides that ended up with a very sad outcome. Let’s also remember who has a get/keep out of jail card issued by bLiar and his cronies and who has not!

Lastly I do sincerely believe this thread has no place here and should be consigned to the bin. Move on and get brewing!

I do not want to speak for anyone else, but I don't see anyone condoning murders by the IRA.
Sorry you interpreted it that way
