London and South East England Craft Brewing Competition 2014

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Our London & SE England Homebrew competition is only around the corner, yes Saturday 14th June 2014.

What, already? Better get Brewing!

As always this will be a friendly competition followed by a festival session in the afternoon, and possibly a mini beer festival if we can wangle it for the evening, with beer supplied by Beavertown, Partizan and Weird Beard so far and more to come!

Entry is open to all abilities, so if you brewed it then enter it. You can enter kit beers, extract beers, or all grain beers. It’s up to you.

Don’t worry if you have just started brewing or if you think your brew is “average”. We can all be too self-critical about our beers. You will be able to compare your beer side-by-side with others and will receive judge’s feedback to help you improve your brewing. There will be plenty of people willing to discuss beer and brewing with.

When: Saturday 14th June 2014 (entry from 2pm, judging starts 9am)

Where: Beavertown Brewery, Unit 17 & 18, Lockwood Industrial Park, Mill Mead Rd, Tottenham Hale, London, N17 9QP, U.K

How to enter: http://londonandsoutheast.brewcompetition.com , its £10.60 entry for 1 beer, then any additional entries cost £4.40 each.

Food: A selection of Butcher made pies costing £3, and ham or cheese rolls costing £1.50.

Registration and entry closes 12pm Mon 9th June 2014, all deliveries must arrive at Beavertown Brewery no later than 2pm Friday 13th June 2014, or if you are bringing beer on the day of the competition then NO LATER than 8am Saturday 14th June 2014.

If you're going to brew for the competition time is getting tight!
Especially for the stronger beers that will need time mature properly.
If you have beers already bottled then get them registered and paid for so you don't forget.
Should be a brilliant event being hosted at the new Beavertown Brewery site.

12pm Friday 13th June 2014 (dat dat dahhh) - on-line payment deadline & delivery deadline (to Beavertown Brewery)
8am Saturday 14th June 2014 - deadline if you want to hand deliver your beer on the day (no later than 8am as it may not be accepted by the judges)

If you are sending your beers by post or courier time is also getting tight!
Deadline to get beers entered and paid is next MONDAY 9th June, mid-day.
Beers must be received by Friday 13 June, 14:00 for postal
or you can drop-off EARLY on the Saturday morning - 8am please.

4 days left to enter a beer!

Don't hang a round as the LAST entry time/date for this competition is 12 p.m. Monday 9th June 2014, where its £10 to enter a beer, and £4 for any additional beer.

If you want feedback on how good your home brews are, or want to rub shoulders with fellow home brewers/ BJCP certified judges/ commercial brewers, then why not enter a beer into the competition, with a chance of winning some fantastic prizes, and it will be a fantastic day out.

Beavertown Brewery will also have some of their beers on sale from 1pm-5pm, which is when we will be serving and selling sandwiches, croissants and cakes.

Please ensure you entries arrive at Beavertown Brewery no later than 2pm Friday 13th June 2014.

You can bring your entries on the day of the competition but they must arrive by 8am (Sat 14th June), if later, it will be down to the judges discretion to say "yay or nay", as it will create an extra 2 hours of work for them which will delay the judging and the competition.

OK I hope to see some of you in a couple of weeks, over a glass of homebrew.
