Mouldy beer

I have an Officers Reserve IPA in a barrel in my out house. I'm half way through and have just noticed mould growing on the cardboard under the tap, where drips/overflow have soaked into the cardboard.

Is this yeast in the beer? What else might mould grow on?

Yeast doesn't tend to look like mold. Even though it is a fungus.

I should imagine the mold is growing on the sugary liquid that beer is.

It shouldn't grow inside, **** can't survive in beer and as long as it's all sterile I doubt anything's getting in...probably just the usual - food and drink going bad in the open air.

That simple? So 'real' beer spills get mouldy too?

Of course, as does a glass of water if you leave it out for long enough.
