Naked golden oats

i am brewing an hazy Neipa with some golden naked oats added, do they have to be crushed first ? Have never used them before and from what I’ve read about them from different sources on the internet, some say to crush others not to crush , would appreciate some of your guys and gals thoughts on the subject

I crushed mine the other week, put them through the mill twice and did a little beta glucanase rest for the oats and a bit of the grain at 45 celsius to reduce the wort / mash gumminess.
They unsurprisingly looked a bit like rolled oats after being milled.

I put them through the mill - they look a bit too dense to use uncrushed.
