Hi all. At first stage fermentation, after a couple of days, should you stir back in to the wort the bits stuck on the lid and side of the fv?
Just wondering if this is valuable yeast going to waste.

Cheers

I always do, :D remember your hygiene still applies. so use a sanitized spoon.

No. The bits will be dried krauesen and will be of no benefit to the continuing fermentation. Best advice is to leave it alone to do its thing.

Definitely don't do it. Even if it is yeast (but it's probably dead or other rubbish you don't want) there will be plenty still in the wort so all you are doing is risking infection.

I did once and ended up with black bits in my wheat beer :(

Never again

 Thought this was the wine brew section, I know nothing about beer, mea culpa.
