Hi folks
Ive started my second kit, got 2 as Xmas present.
First one in garage clearing - does clearing mean waiting until its kind of translucent or is it just clearing any sediment?

Second in primary fv, which is standing in water heated by a tank heater at 23c. - when I keg this one and add sugar, can I put keg pack in water at 23c for carbonation period or is it too warm?

Thanks
Scott :drink:

I'd say 23C was too warm for primary fermentation although it does depend on the yeast strain. For carbonation I just put my bottles in a room next to the boiler - I don't think the exact temperature is critical at this stage. It really matters for the first couple of days of primary fermentation though.

Going to turn down to 21-22c just now.
I'm currently doing a festival golden stag.
