non starter

hi all
i have put on a batch of toffee apple cider receipe called for a can of pears i checked but could see no preseratives on the tin.
it has been 2 days now and it has not started, if there are preseratives present can i do anything about the brew or is it ruined?

It depends on the preservatives present. What temp did you pitch at? and what was your OG?

pitched about 25c og was 1050

:hmm: Did you check the apple juice and other ingredients for preservatives? What temp is it at now?

Yeast nutrient might help as apple juice is usually low in nutirents for yeast. :thumb:
