Our first pc i built, got an empty tower and monitor from work mother board graphics card AMD 700mhz processer came from computer fair at Trafford Park along with ram and one of them squeaky internet cards, windows was a buckshee copy which i had to boot from a floppy and it was in German but it was enough to get it working, 1997 my 7 year old was up and running
My first build had a Cyrix DX4-100 CPU and the box ran MS-DOS 6.22. Those were the days 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I cut my teeth on a mainframe and dumb terminals. The big iron was upgraded to a 100Mb disk stack - cutting edge. When personal computing came along it was a Research Machines 380Z (Z80 processor with 128k Ram) running CP/M and Rockwell 6502-based machines with a single line LED matrix display and a tiny printer built in!

Ah, happy days 😀
