------
1. Put in 5 litres more than specified.

recipe stsates to boil 60min...what would the benefit be to extend to 90 mins ??..also i have my flameout hops..not sure what it means by flameout

and then start chilling it into fermenter...doesnt seem the hops get a chance to do anything ??

20 mins is sufficient
80c downwards add more flavour what i do flame out add hops go connect hose give a good stir cool with chiller takes about 35 40 mins for me to cool me wort

hops are usually sterile in nature
and the risk is only as you know in the length of time it takes to cool your wort and get your yeast pitched and lid on your fermenter
try keeping a lid of some type covering your wort whilst cooling do not hover your head over your wort either or anything else really
:thumb:

have a very effecient CFC..so about 5 mins if that...so i really want to recirculate into the boiler to about 80..stop the chiller..add the hops to boiler..then carry on chilling into fermenter as normal..that was keeping the hops in the boiler ?

i normally connect the CFC without cooling water for about 15 mins to sterilise that.
