@foxy - I think it was your post on another thread that pointed at mash thickness and maybe using full volume.

Yes it was the APA by David Heath on brewfather.
Malts (4.789 kg)
2.2 kg (45.9%) — BestMalz Pale Ale — Grain — 6 EBC
2.2 kg (45.9%) — BestMalz Pilsen Malt — Grain — 3.5 EBC
243 g (5.1%) — Briess Carapils — Grain — 3 EBC
146 g (3.1%) — BestMalz Melanoidin — Grain — 70 EBC
Plus i added 100g of oat hulls.

Probably me, I only do full volume mash. Another thing which I have said isn't needed, but have since rescinded is stirring the mash. The BM stirs the mash every 10 minutes I have stirred the mash on my last two brews and it has lifted my efficiency.
