In a word Sam they can be as in some are some aren't, ours loves yapping at the rspca adverts on the telly other than that she is ok, and she likes watching aeroplanes

What about people. I have a wee lapso as well and it barks at everything.
She is good with most people just the odd one she growls at mostly work people with dayglo jackets
Mine doesn't like strangers. She gets locked up if the gas man comes round. With family and regular visitors she is totally fine and makes a great big fuss.
Unusual noises outside and door knocking she turns into the devil dog and would probably have your hand off of you came through the door.
All dogs will naturally guard.

Door knocking, delivery drivers could never say there was no one in she goes mental, and don't forget window cleaners
