The photo reminded me of a fully loaded 3 ton frozen fish lorry that keeled over on the old A18 out of Grimsby. As the lorry keeled over, the freezer section split open and 3 tons of frozen fish was strewn along about 30 yards of grass verge.

The local Police recovered just under two hundredweight of frozen fish from that accident so I wondered how much the local Police managed to recover from the Fosters wagon?

It wouldn't surprise me if they recovered the full load! :whistle: :whistle:

Another memory that I well remember was the driver of a lorry that came in to the nick in Brigg at about 2am to report that he had lost the container off the back of his lorry "Somewhere between Kirmington and Brigg."

As I took his report I went through the usual "Name, Age, Occupation and Address" routine ...

... and when I got to "Occupation?" he said "I used to be a lorry driver!"

It's impossible to forget things like that! :lol: :lol:
